Bondi Discloses Probe into Trump Adversaries and Epstein Ties

This past Friday, the Attorney General assigned Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into political adversaries of the President and their relationships with the late financier. This action came just after Trump directed her to begin the probe.

During an announcement, Bondi commended Jay Clayton as “among the nation’s top prosecutors”. The official remarked, “The department will handle this matter promptly and thoroughly to provide clarity for citizens.”

This action contrasts with a July memo from justice department officials which stated that documents related to Epstein did not warrant further inquiries. As per the document, investigators “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

The President Calls for Focus on Democrats in the Epstein Case

The announcement comes as growing pressure from Trump on lawmakers to block the full release of files concerning Epstein before an upcoming House vote next week. Many Republicans are expected to back the release.

Newly public communications from Epstein have highlighted the president’s past involvement with the convicted criminal, revealing information that his knowledge of Epstein’s behavior exceeded prior admissions.

That same day, the President announced he would ask the Department of Justice to examine connections between Epstein and Democratic figures, specifically naming prominent individuals such as Clinton, Summers, and Hoffman. Paradoxically, he also referred to the “Epstein hoax” as a “scam”.
